It slips… The RX 7700 XT at $355 and a threat to the 4060 Ti!

Lately, the price dynamic has been clearly downward, since NVIDIA launched its RTX 40s. First of all, we saw the price of the RX 7700 XT and RX 7800 XT fall, forced downwards by necessity. The launch of the 4070 Super led to a revision of the RTX 4070 price to $549.

This was followed by the RTX 4060 Ti Gaming OC at $344. At this price, the card became a serious threat to AMD’s RX 7600 XT, which isn’t all that attractive. And finally, a few days ago, we learned that the 7900 XT could be found for $699, making life difficult for the RTX 4070 Ti Super!

Today, a new price cut for the RX 7700 XT at $355 at Newegg. A special offer for PowerColor models!

RX 7700 XT: PowerColor versions from $350!

Moreover, this promotion seems to be either PowerColor’s or Newegg’s initiative, since AMD hasn’t announced anything to that effect. Nevertheless, it has to be said that lowering the price of this model wouldn’t be a bad thing. With only a $50 MSRP differential with the RX 7800 XT, this model is clearly not AMD’s most popular card. On its launch day, the 7800 XT was sold out by the palletful, while the 7700 XT remained on the shelf.

Now, at $350, the card is clearly positioning itself very aggressively on the market, and posing a serious threat to NVIDIA’s 4060 Ti. In fact, AMD’s card offers superior performance to the Chameleon’s card, while offering 12 GB of VRAM in a sector where only cards with 8 GB of memory are available.

Let’s hope that this promotion opens the way to a general price cut on this model, which would enable sales to take off!
