We’re heading for the United States, where we’re seeing price dynamics for AMD’s mid-range boards. In fact, since the launch of NVIDIA’s RTX 40 Super, the price of the RX 7800 XT and RX 7700 XT has been forced downwards!

RX 7800 XT and RX 7700 XT: unofficially lower prices!

A quick reminder: the RX 7800 XT and RX 7700 XT are two mid-range cards from AMD. They were launched last August at prices of $499 and $449 respectively. However, with the customization of heatsinks and design by AMD’s partners, prices were positioned above MSRP. Specifically, the 7800 XT was priced at over $530 and the 7700 XT customs at around $470.

Now, with the launch of the RTX 40 Super, the original RTX 4070 has seen its MSRP readjusted. This was officially reduced from $599 to $549. However, some models are currently trading at $534, a major blow for AMD.

Naturally, prices are being adjusted downwards for RADEON cards, so there’s no choice if the various players want to sell them. In practical terms, this brings the price of the 7800 XT to AMD’s recommended retail price for Gigabyte’s Gaming OC model. As for the 7700 XT, some models are even below MSRP. Once again, the Gaming OC model stands out with a price of $439.99… While the other customs are priced at $449.99.
