The prices of AMD’s high-end graphics cards have been seriously eroded. Indeed, since the arrival of NVIDIA’s RTX 40 Super, the RX 7700/7800 XT have already seen their prices melt away… This is also the case for the RX 7900 XT, which can be found for $699 in the USA.

RX 7900 XT: $699 in the USA!

RX 7900 XTXAs you can see, Newegg has listed the RX 7900 XT at $699.99, right between the RTX 4070 Super and RTX 4070 Ti Super. At this price, we have an interesting offer that rivals the 4070 Ti Super in terms of performance… But for $100 less. At this price, it also boasts a high memory capacity of 20 GB, compared with 16 GB for its NVIDIA rival.

From what we’ve learned, this price cut seems to be a new Sapphire initiative. What’s more, this isn’t the first time the GPU has been offered at this price, as MicroCenter has already offered this type of discount. However, this only concerned in-store offers, not online ones.

Since its launch, the card has seen a serious reduction in price. Indeed, AMD’s recommended retail price was $899 at launch. Due to the lack of attention paid to the card, unofficially it was not difficult to find it under this price. The launch of the RTX 40 Super forced AMD to reduce the MSRP to $749. Now, unofficially, the card is priced at $699, a drop of $200 since launch, compared with the official price!

Over in Europe, the price cuts are less obvious. Sapphire’s Pulse model retails at €799.90.
