Intel is in the news again, but not for the right reasons this time. While NVIDIA and AMD have managed to come up with drivers for Starfield, on the blue side, nothing, nada. This poses major problems for users with early access to the game.
No Intel driver for Starfield = big problems!
Unfortunately, Intel is the only one of the three graphics card manufacturers not to have released a driver for the game. It’s worth noting that some users broke their wallets to get early access to Bethesda’s latest title. And to not be able to play it once it’s available, what a disappointment.
Symptoms include games that don’t launch or crash after a few minutes. Ditto, for some, their game launches in the background, consumes 30 GB of memory, remains visible in the task manager, but nothing on the screen. In short, for Intel Arc GPU users, it’s Vietnam on their PCs.
We are aware of issues with @StarfieldGame on Intel Arc graphics. We are working to improve the experience for the game's general release next week.

The most damaging part of this story is that Intel is aware of the problems encountered by its users… In fact, they don’t hesitate to report their misadventures on the brand’s Twitter feed. Nevertheless, the account indicates that there will be nothing until next week, for the definitive launch. Suffice it to say that frustration is palpable on the Twitter page in question, and understandably so, especially when competitors have taken the necessary steps.
