A new driver release from NVIDIA, now available for Starfield, Bethesda’s forthcoming RPG. For this, the chameleon offers us its GeForce 537.13 WHQL driver. The brand is also taking the opportunity to correct a few things along the way.
GeForce 537.13 WHQL: what’s new!
Among the new features, of course, is the addition of support for the Starfield game. With Starfield now officially supported, you shouldn’t encounter any major problems on launch day, September 6. ICARUS: New Frontier Expansion is also supported by the NVIDIA driver.
As far as patches are concerned, the Chameleon fixes the following three annoying points:
- Battlefield 2042 stability could decrease when applying GeForce Experience Freestyle filters [4170804].
- Corrected performance fluctuations related to Dirext Storage and NVIDIA Reflex on Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart [4212649].
- Previews will now work correctly on Vegas Pro FX on some notebook configurations [3752618].
Unfortunately, there are still a few issues to be corrected with :
- Significant performance drops are observed with Maxwell GPUs on Halo Infinite [4052711].
- The DaVinci Resolve patch designed to correct stability problems with heavy memory loads could do more harm than good in some situations. A new patch will be deployed in a future driver update [4172676].
In short, NVIDIA has done a good job of eliminating a large proportion of the known bugs in its drivers. As you can see, the known issue section is virtually empty.
