Configurations with no visible cables – we’re gradually getting there. Indeed, Asus seems to be well on the way, but this requires specific hardware, especially if we’re talking about graphics cards. Colorful’s Ultra Z series is now available to everyone, with a hidden connector under the backplate. The RTX 4060 Ultra Z joins the manufacturer’s range!

RTX 4060 Ultra Z: a small card with a hidden connector!

Colorful RTX 4060 Ultra ZOn the program, we find an imposing card with a three-fan heatsink. At 31.3 cm in length, it takes up more than two slots in the case.

As for the design, there’s not much to say, since it’s rather sober. The fairing is square, while the board features blue and white hues. The backplate adds a little color with red and black/gray markings.

But the backplate isn’t just for aesthetic purposes, or to stiffen the board. It’s also the backplate that hides the board’s not always attractive power cable. In fact, the back of the backplate is removable, held in place by magnets, so there’s no need for a screwdriver to remove it.

What’s more, Colorful has opted for an 8-pin PCIe connector, which won’t catch fire if bent too much. What’s more, the cable protrudes from the motherboard side of the connector to ensure maximum concealment.

This series is available in RTX 4070, 4060 Ti 16 GB and 8 GB, as well as RTX 4060 non-Ti.
