Noctua’s RTX 40s a bit rubbish in Japan

When you think of Noctua RTX 40s, the first thing that springs to mind is the RTX 4080, RTX 3080 and RTX 3070 from Asus. Here, we were dealing with a true collaboration between the two brands. The product was neat, powerful and quiet. In Japan, we find the somewhat lame version developed by Sycom and Nagao Industries.

RTX 40 Noctua, cobbled-together versions!

As we told you, the cards in question are the result of a collaboration between Sycom and Nagao Industries. In fact, the two companies are working together to enable two Austrian fans to be fitted to the cooling system. The result is a simple black-painted steel frame. The fans are simply screwed onto it.

Two cards are the result of this operation: an RTX 4070 and an RTX 4060 Ti. While the former benefits from two NF-A12x25 (like the 4080), the latter makes do with two small 92mm NF-A9x14 PWMs.

However, while we’re scathing critics of the board design, this solution clearly makes sense. As Noctua is renowned for the quality of its fans, it’s clearly a good idea to integrate two of their blowers on a graphics card. Temperatures and noise levels are drastically reduced.
