After being teased at CES, the RTX 4080 Noctua OC Edition is now being launched by Asus. As with their 30 series counterparts, this is a collaboration between the Taiwanese and Austrian brands. One providing the PCB, the other the fans… To summarise it crudely.

RTX 4080 Noctua OC Edition: the result of a collaboration between two brands !

RTX 4080 Noctua OC EditionWith this card, of course, we find a model with a visual tribute to Noctua. The fans are brown/beige, not to mention the colour of the casing and the design of the backplate.

As for the cooling, we find an imposing radiator made of two blocks of aluminium fins. At the base, we have a large steam chamber. This will be used to cool the memory and the GPU. The VRMs are not left out with a small dedicated module. Nevertheless, to provide airflow, we find two NF-A12x25 PWM fans from Noctua. Finally, the backplate is not just for show as it has thermal pads, so it will help with cooling.

Of course, the card has a 16-pin 12VHPWR power connector. As for the video outputs, we can count on two HDMI 2.1a and three DisplayPorts 1.4a.

Finally, via a dual bios, the card lets us choose between a “silent” profile and a second “OC” profile. With the OC bios, the card runs at 2625 MHz, while the reference RTX 4080 runs at 2505 MHz.

Now, as far as prices are concerned, you’ll have to pay around $1650 for this model. Yes, it stings!
