New cooler from Noctua: the NH-L12Sx77. By the way, if you’ve read our dossier on Noctua, you’ll already know what kind of cooler we’re dealing with, won’t you? In any case, this is a low-profile heatsink in top-flow format.

NH-L12Sx77: 120 mm slim, 77 mm high!

Noctua NH-L12Sx77With this new heatsink, we have a compact reference measuring 128 (W) x 131 (D) x 77 (H) mm. As for weight, with the fan, an NF-A12x15 PWM, the whole unit weighs 520g.

The heat sink itself has a top-flow profile, so the heat pipes are “C”-shaped and six in number, with a diameter of 6 mm. They are joined by a nickel-plated copper base. Compared with the original NH-L12S, this model has two more heat pipes.

As for the fan, this is an NF-A12x15 PWM, a so-called ” slim ” fan, 15 mm thick. Its operating speed is 1850 rpm. The airflow generated is 55.4 CFM, while static pressure rises to 1.53 mmH2O.

Finally, this heatsink gives you the choice of mounting the fan above or below the aluminum fins. This gives you the choice between better RAM compatibility or limited height for better case clearance.

All that’s left is to mention the price, which once again stings like a sore thumb. Indeed, on Amazon (button below), this model is listed at around €85, which is still very expensive for a model of this format!
