After prices, let’s talk packaging. Indeed, the latter are showing up on the net as Intel distributes its processors to testers. For the leaks, we can once again thank the folks at twitter, led by @9550Pro and @I_Leak_VN.

14900K: the box reveals itself!

In itself, the style of the box doesn’t change much, as Intel continues to offer its dark blue cardboard packaging. Obviously, there’s no change to the font, with only the Core now in white rather than a blue gradient. Secondly, the box still features a window showing a glimpse of the processor in its packaging.

Otherwise, the 14900K still features a fake silicon wafer in silver-gray plastic. This can be displayed on a desk to dress it up a bit.

Of course, the boxes do not display the processors’ specifications. However, we do know that the 14900K/F will feature 24 cores (8P16E) with frequencies from 3.2 GHz to 6 GHz boost. They will also continue to use the current LGA-1700 platform and the B760 and Z790 chipsets. What’s more, Asus, MSI and Gigabyte are planning a whole new series of motherboards.

All that’s left is to wait for the launch, which should take place in October. Apparently, this will take place on October 17. To be continued.
