MP700 Pro SE: new PCIe 5.0 SSDs from Corsair!

Corsair’s MP700 Pro SE is the latest addition to the range. The program features SSDs in M.2 format with a PCIe 5.0 interface, all with three different cooling systems.

MP700 Pro SE: three different heatsinks!

Corsair’s new SSDs are available in M.2 2280 format. These offer capacities of 2 and 4TB. Internally, Corsair uses 3D TLC memory. TechpowerUp’s SSD database mentions memory from Micro, the 232-layer B58R. As for the controller, we’re dealing with a Phison model, the PS5026-E26. Finally, to boost performance, we’re treated to 4 GB of LPDDR4 DRAM cache.

Inevitably, with such a large interface, performance is at a premium. Corsair claims sequential throughputs of 14 GB/s read vs. 12 GB/s write.

As we said, Corsair offers its SSDs with three different cooling systems. Of course, for motherboards equipped with heatsinks, the SSD is offered bare. However, it is also available with an active air heatsink or the brand’s Hydro X waterblock.

Naturally, prices are very high, at €720 for 4Tb without heatsink. In 2Tb with waterblock, the invoice is €399.99 on the brand’s website. We’d like to be exhaustive, but not all capacities seem to be available at the moment.
