We’re now getting to the heart of the matter. Here are our partners for Round 2 of the Tweak League, and the equipment that will be available to competitors. A little background for those of you new to the Tweak League. The 5 competitors will receive exactly the same equipment. Throughout Round 2, they’ll each be trying to optimize their PCs as best they can to make them the best-performing gaming machines, while remaining totally stable for everyday use. They’ll be producing content on a variety of media to show you their progress, as well as the tips and tricks they deploy to get the most out of their PCs.
Who will be the best at optimizing this PC?
The idea is to apply this philosophy: act as if you had to optimize your best friend’s PC to the best of your ability, so that he can play for a long time, without stress and with great pleasure… And without him coming to you for help every day!
At the end, a vote involving 2 colleges (the OCC community and our partners) will determine the winner. The winner will be the one who has been the most educational, and whose solution is perfectly reproducible for someone buying their own PC. While performance is important, it’s above all the quality of the content and the way it’s conveyed that will take precedence. The winner will be automatically entered into Round 3 of the Tweak League. As in Round 1, all competitors will keep the PC they have built.
