ASRock launches its B760 motherboards!

0

Today we learn that ASRock is launching a total of four new motherboards with a B760 chipset. All formats are covered with ATX, micro-ATX and mini-ITX. The references of the day are the B760M-ITX/D4 WiFi, B760M PG Riptide, B760 Pro RS and B760 Pro RS/D4!

The ASRock B760M-ITX/D4 WiFi:

We start small with the model ITX model, which is necessarily compact with its 17 cm x 17 cm. Unfortunately, this model has nothing extraordinary under the hood. It will have four memory slots in DDR4 (5333 MT/s) as well as a PCIe x16 4.0 port. The storage part is based on four SATA III and one M.2. On the other hand, we have the right to WiFi in addition to Ethernet via RTL8111H and audio in 7.1 via a Realtek ALC897 chip.

The B760M PG Riptide, the gaming card!

Following on from the B760M PG Riptide a model in micro-ATX format. The card in question has four DDR5 memory slots (7200 MT/s) and a PCIe 4.0 x16 port. The PCIe will be complemented by a second x1 port in the 3.0 standard.

The storage part highlights four SATA III, two of which are angled, and three M.2, one of which is dedicated to WiFi. The slots intended for storage benefit from a PCIe x4 4.0 interface.

Finally, this model has 14+1+1 power supply phases. Besides, we have networking based on Dragon RTL8125BG and audio in ALC897. We will also mention the USB-C 3.2 Gen1.

The B760 Pro RS & RS/D4!

We finish with the models B760 Pro RS and RS/D4 two quite similar cards. The differences are mainly in the memory standard used: DDR5 (7200 MT/s) for one, DDR4 (5333 MT/s) for the other. Otherwise, we notice that the model in DDR4 has an EPS12V in 8 pins in addition to a second in 4 pins against two connectors in 8 pins for the DDR5 version. A change of layout is also at work, the connectors were not exactly in the same place from one card to another!

Moreover, since we are there, each model has a first PCIe x16 reinforced and two others more basic. By the way, the Pro RS version supports PCIe 5.0, the second one does not.

The storage is based on three M.2 supporting PCIe 4.0 x4 while being completed by four SATA III. A fourth M.2 is present for a WiFi module.

Finally, the audio and network parts are identical, namely ALC897 for audio and Dragon RTL8125BG.
