Thermalright offers us a new frame to protect the socket of your motherboard. After the LGA-1700 the brand attacks AMD platforms with the AM5. The brand proposes its AM5 Secure Frame a reinforcement for your AMD motherboard !

Finally, the principle remains the same as for the Intel platform since it is a frame that will reinforce the socket of the motherboard. Moreover, we realize that the shape of the latter corresponds to the IHS of a Ryzen 7000 processor. The frame would also avoid putting thermal paste everywhere during the application, a bit like the NA-TPG1 from Noctua.
In terms of materials, we find a frame made of aluminum alloy. Two colors are available with a black model and a second in red.
For the assembly, obviously, you will have to remove the original valve mechanism on your motherboard. Then, we put the CPU on its slot, then, we screw this “frame” directly on the socket. The assembly of the heatsink is done simply by following the manufacturer’s assembly instructions.
