The Mushkin brand announces the arrival of a new batch of SSDs in M.2 2280 format. The series in question is called Vortex Redline and includes three capacities up to 2Tb maximum!
Vortex Redline: three new SSDs from Mushkin!
With this new series, the brand announces a range of three SSDs with capacities of 512GB, 1TB and 2TB. Of course, we find models in M.2 2280 format with a PCIe 4.0 x4 interface. Otherwise, the brand indicates that it uses an InnoGrit IG5236 controller as well as 3D NAND memory. Similarly, we will find a DDR4 cache that can reach 2 GB on the 2 TB version.
Regarding performance, we can expect maximum sequential speeds of 7415 MB/s in reading and 6800 MB/s in writing. The random performance is capped at 750,000 IOPS in reading against 1500,000 IOPS in writing. Finally, the lifetime will be 1000 TBW for the 2 TB model. The 1TB and 512GB versions have 500 TBW and 250 TBW respectively.
We finish with the known prices which are $124.99 for the 1TB model against $77.89 for the 512GB version. Finally, the warranty is 5 years.
