Star Wars Jedi Survivor, “the least worst” of the recent games?

0

Star Wars Jedi Survivor is a game that has been talked about a lot, especially in our driver section. All the players have dedicated drivers to it, be it Intel, AMD or NVIDIA. Now that the game is out, how does it run? Overall, it’s still greedy.

Star Wars Jedi Survivor, up to 10.4 GB of VRAM consumed in UHD!

Star Wars Jedi : SurvivorAs far as memory consumption is concerned, clearly, it could be quite complicated for the old 8GB graphics cards. As you can see, TechpowerUp reported a usage of at least 9 GB in 1080p compared to 10.4 GB with Ray Tracing enabled. The old GTX 1060 or RX 580 may suffer on the game. Clearly, it will be necessary to reduce the visual details in order to free up memory.

Star Wars Jedi Survivor conso VRAM

Fortunately, in 1080p, the game cooperates rather well since an RX 6600 XT allows to reach 60 FPS with the details at their maximum. The same goes for Intel’s A770, which averages 59 FPS. On the other hand, NVIDIA’s card, the RTX 3060, is drastically lower with its 54.2 FPS. Of course, beyond the 6600 XT, performance is more than comfortable, but AMD GPUs seem to be clearly favored. TPU notes that an RX 6900 XT is on par with an RTX 4080 with a framerate of around 115 fps.

Star Wars Jedi Survivor conso VRAMAt the level of performance now in QHD, we note that below the RTX 4070, it is not possible to reach 60 fps … Even with cards equipped with more than 8 GB of VRAM. We are thinking in particular of the RTX 3070 which displays 55.2 FPS on average, or the RX 6700 XT. On these cards, you will have to reduce the visual quality if you want to improve the fluidity.

In UHD, if you want to reach 60 FPS, you’ll have to lower the visual quality… Unless you turn to an RX 7900 XTX or an RTX 4090.

As for Ray Tracing, the game is still playable on small cards in 1080p… Without running at 60 fps. However, as soon as we go to QHD, the 60 FPS are only reached by the RTX 3080 against the RTX 4090 in UHD..
