The price of NVIDIA graphics cards is being reduced in China. In fact, the RTX 4070 and RTX 4060 Ti 8GB have been granted a 200 yuan discount on their retail price. Even if this only represents around thirty dollars, it’s still a bargain!
RTX 4070 and RTX 4060 Ti: the equivalent of a €25 discount!
Currently, Chinese retailer JD.com is offering an RTX 4060 Ti 8GB for 2,999 yuan (~€385), compared with 4,599 yuan (~€592) for the RTX 4070. These prices are available via 200 yuan (~25 €) discount coupons. As a reminder, the official sales prices for NVIDIA’s FE cards are 4,799 yuan (~€617) and 3,199 yuan (~€411).
This promotion, however small, is noteworthy because it concerns Founders Edition boards. These boards are produced and sold by NVIDIA, suggesting that the chameleon itself is behind the operation. It’s also worth pointing out that these models are much less frequently on special offer than the customized versions from ASUS, MSI or Gigabyte, for example.
Finally, it remains to be seen why this promotion is taking place… Clearly, according to VideoCardz, the success of the RX 6750 GRE is no stranger to this price cut. In fact, AMD was having a hard time keeping prices in check last time we heard, and they’re now on the way down.
