Review: Microsoft Surface Laptop Go 3

Conclusion

Microsoft’s Surface laptop Go 3 is a portable PC with the potential to become a lecture hall staple on a par with the Macbook Air. However, it lacks the autonomy and high-performance SSD needed to achieve this. With just over 10h of autonomy, it could be difficult to get through a long day on battery power alone. Nonetheless, it’s a well-finished product with an exemplary finish.

As a reminder, the Microsoft Surface Laptop Go 3 is available for €899 in its i5-1235U version, 256 GB SSD and 8 GB RAM. The version we’re testing here is priced at €1,149 with 16 GB RAM.

Microsoft Surface Laptop Go 3

We liked:

  • CPU performance
  • Well-designed keyboard and trackpad
  • Build quality
  • Autonomy

We would have liked :

  • A better SSD
  • A bigger battery

We’ve decided to award silver to Microsoft’s Surface Laptop Go 3, although it would have deserved gold had it been equipped with a better SSD or longer battery life. Its build quality and performance, however, make it a good laptop for study or office use.
