Review: ASUS Dual RTX 4070 SUPER

The final word:

Let’s get straight to the point, since we’ve been looking for the best deal on this ASUS model. As a reminder, NVIDIA sells its Founders Edition models at the MSRP price of €659, and we found our copy of the day for €689 at Alternate. This is an excellent price, offering a nice alternative to NVIDIA’s Founders Edition model. A very good point for this ASUS Dual RTX 4070 SUPER.

Rasterization to 1440p definition gives our RTX 4070 SUPER a narrow lead over the RX 7800 XT. This means it can take back the crown of the best-performing card in QHD. Compared with the Founders Edition model we tested, the difference in performance is insignificant, since we’re using identical frequencies to the Founders Edition.

What about the price difference between an RTX 4070 SUPER and an RX 7800 XT on a similar model? ASUS doesn’t offer a “Dual” version of the RX 7800 XT, so you’ll have to go for the “TUF” model sold at €628. That’s a difference of around sixty euros. Even if the 7800 XT model convinced us, we have to admit that current NVIDIA technologies tip the balance in favor of the ASUS Dual RTX 4070 SUPER.

The card?

As we implied in our presentation of the card, we’ve fallen under the spell of this new “Dual” version. Despite its plastic casing, the visual effect is very flattering, and the transparent part at the top of the card is a real eye-catcher. To top it all off, the card’s compact dimensions make it ideal for use in small cases.

ASUS Dual RTX 4070 SUPER :

médaille award OMF or goldWhile we’ve had quite a few problems deciding on high-priced custom cards, it’s much easier here with the ASUS Dual RTX 4070 SUPER, which is very slightly more expensive than NVIDIA’s Founders Edition model. On the one hand, the card performs well and features an efficient cooling system. In fact, we’re not far from believing that this could be the sexiest of the two-fan custom versions. Many thanks to ASUS France for making this copy of the ASUS Dual RTX 4070 SUPER available.
