ASRock is now entering the PC display market with two references. On the program, we find the PG34WQ15R2B and PG27FF1A. Monitors in 34″ and 27″, the first in VA, the second in IPS!
PG34WQ15R2B: a 34″ UWQHD with a 165 Hz VA panel with WiFi!
The particularity of this model is question and to integrate a WiFi antenna 7 dBi in the foot of the monitor. The objective, if your PC is placed under your desk, is not to lose signal quality. It remains to be seen whether you will need it or not.
Otherwise, we are dealing with a 34″ model with a 1500R curved VA panel. As you might have guessed, it’s a 21:9 format screen with a resolution of 3440 x 1440. The reactivity is also part of the game with a frequency of 165 Hz and a latency of 1 ms MPRT.
Regarding the display, this model offers a brightness of 550 cd/m² and a contrast ratio of 3000:1. Similarly, it will cover 91% of the DCI-P3 color gamut and 115% of the sRGB spectrum. Note also the DisplayHDR 400 compatibility.
PG27FF1A: a 27 IPS full HD without WiFi!
With the PG27FF1A the brand offers a wiser reference with a smaller diagonal. Here we find a 27″ screen in 16:9 displaying a full HD resolution (1920 x 1080). Moreover, the reactivity is not at half-mast with a frequency of 165 Hz and a latency of 1 ms … Especially since it is an IPS monitor.
As for the display, we have the right to a fairly classic brightness of 250 cd/m² and a contrast of 1100:1. The coverage of the sRGB range is announced at 123% against 94% for the DCI-P3. This monitor meets the HDR10 standard.
For now, we do not know if these references will arrive one day in Europe, and especially in France. In any case, the American prices are $429,99 for the 34″ and $189,99 for the 27″. If they arrive here, let’s hope that the prices don’t go up to 100 € under the pretext of an unfavorable euro/dollar conversion.
