One of the next NVIDIA cards to see the light of day will be the RTX 3050 6 GB. This new version of the card will be based on a neutered configuration of the current RTX 3050 8 GB. The aim is to bring prices down to the €200 range. We’re already hearing talk of custom versions, notably from Palit, which is planning a passive version!

On the other hand, we’d have a passive model, named KalmX. This version would share the same design as the GTX 1650 of the same name. It would feature a massive stack of aluminum fins and heat pipes running through it. However, there will be no fans here, the aim being to enjoy silence.

If all these cards have been spotted at a Russian retailer, the technical specifications don’t hold up. These include inconsistent memory bandwidth and rather high power consumption values. The KalmX version of the card is rated at 115W, while the latest rumors put the figure at 70W.

In short, it’s a case to be followed, as it’s not the first time merchants have provided erroneous product information prior to launch.
