RTX 4090 blowers have been on the increase lately… As are blower versions in general. AFOX offered a 4090 in this style, as did PNY with an RTX 4070. Now we learn that MSI has this type of card in the pipeline with the RTX 4090 Aero!

An RTX 4090 Aero for MSI in China!

MSI RTX 4090 BlowerOnce again, we’re dealing with a discreet card featuring no markings or brand names of any kind. As you can see, the shell remains gray, with a large opening for the radial fan at the rear of the fairing. The same applies to the backplate. On the other hand, you can still lay your eyes on a sticker showing the card’s reference: MSI RTX 4090 Aero 24G.

Naturally, this type of card is produced rather discreetly, since NVIDIA doesn’t appreciate this kind of design. Since the RTX 30, cards with radial dissipation have become uncommon, and we don’t see as many as in the past. But there are still some out there, and the proof is in the pudding.

Once again, this type of format is very popular in workstation and server-type machines, because of its compactness. Likewise, this cooling system is very useful in multi-card configurations, since the cards don’t choke each other. What’s more, hot air is expelled from the case by the bracket, limiting heat build-up inside the machine. Last but not least, this type of RTX 4090 is much appreciated in the pro world, since depending on the application, it competes with Ada RTX 6000s priced at $6800.
