PNY officially announces the first RTX 40 with radial heatsink. Now you’re going to say: “Yes, but we’ve seen RTX 4090 equipped with this type of cooling”… True, but these cards are produced underground, and we’re talking about an official announcement with an exhibition at Computex. In short, after the RTX 4090 x Cooler Master now it’s time for the RTX 4070 Blower Edition!

RTX 4070 Blower Edition: the first official RTX 40 turbine!

PNY RTX 4070 Blower Edition PNY’s RTX 4070 is equipped with a radial heatsink, the famous turbine-type fan. This design spits hot air out of the case, through the card’s bracket. This type of cooling is particularly popular with servers. Incidentally, PNY also produces pro graphics cards. So it’s not very difficult for them to adapt a heatsink to a consumer board.

In short, the card itself is a classic dual-slot model. Its length is also limited: 278.4 mm, making it a very compact model. And if you were worried about the noise generated by this model, the brand’s representatives are reassuring: no more than 32 dB… In other words, the noise generated by a card equipped with axial fans.

Finally, we learn that this model will operate at the reference frequencies of the 4070. The boost frequency will therefore reach 2475 MHz, while the TDP will be 200W, which is not very demanding, hence the application of this type of cooling. Finally, there’s a single 8-pin PCIe connector for the power supply.

Now, don’t expect a cheap model, as PNY intends to launch its board in the third quarter at a slightly higher price than current models.
