Corsair offers a precision screwdriver kit!

A new accessory from Corsair, and not the least, as the brand announces… A precision screwdriver kit. It may sound silly, but it’s important to have the right tools when assembling a PC. In particular, it avoids “screwing up” a screw because the head is too small, for example!

A precision screwdriver kit from Corsair!

Corsair tournevis de précisionWith this screwdriver kit, you should be able to assemble a PC or a whole lot of other stuff with peace of mind. Indeed, in the box, the brand slips in a total of 65 bits for screwing/unscrewing a multitude of screws. Of course, there are the classic Philips heads, pozidrive or hexagonal. But we go even further with Robertson square heads, for example, or U-shaped or triangular heads.

Of course, each type of head comes in different sizes. Hexagonal heads come in sizes 0.7 to 6, for example. The same goes for flat heads, which range from 1 to 4.

The other neat trick comes from the packaging, with the whole little world arriving in a small box that closes with magnets. The lid also has a magnetic surface to prevent you from losing your screws… Handy, especially if you’re operating on a flat surface with a grey shag carpet underneath… We know those people who then come to complain *that’s not me đŸ™ƒ*.

Finally, an extension cable is also supplied, which is handy for unscrewing a motherboard with a cooler already mounted.

Priced at $34.99 on Corsair’s website, this accessory is a direct competitor to the Corsair cooler. Some will see it as direct competition for the iFixit Mako kit, which sells for around forty euros, and that’s certainly the case. On the other hand, there’s a different choice of heads and sizes, and a slightly lower price, while the kit comes with 65 tips versus 64 for iFixit. It remains to be seen how good the bits are.
