Among NVIDIA’s range of graphics cards, the brand is in the midst of a wave of successive launches. Initially, the company launched its RTX 5090/5080, followed by the RTX 5070 Ti. More recently, it was the turn of the RTX 5070 non-Ti to see the light of day. Now that the higher-end cards have been launched, we’re waiting for the entry-level and mid-range series. Here, it’s the RTX 5060 (Ti) and RTX 5050 that should take center stage. By the way, we know more about them thanks to @kopite7kimi in particular.
RTX 5060 – 5060 Ti – 5050: a look at their specifications!
NVIDIA has yet to make official the specifications of its RTX 5060 Ti, 5060 and 5050. All this information should be taken with a pinch of salt, and may change between now and launch.
However, early reports are of RTX 5060 (Ti) running a GB206 GPU in variant 250 in the case of the RTX 5060 and 300 for the RTX 5060 Ti. Here, there’s a slight variation in terms of the card, with a PG152-SKU25 for the 5060 and a PG152-SKU10/15 for the Ti.
In terms of configuration, the non-Ti will benefit from a 3840 cuda-core GPU and 8 GB GDDR7. The Ti, on the other hand, will benefit from a more complete GPU with 4,608 cuda cores. As for memory, two configurations will be offered: 8 and 16 GB, as for the RTX 4060 Ti. Finally, TDPs should be 150W and 180W.
With the RTX 5050, we finally have a worthy replacement for the RTX 3050. Here, we can count on a tiny GPU with a GB07 containing 2,560 cuda cores. This unit will be mounted on a PG152-SKU50 card. In terms of memory, as with the 5060, we’ll have 8 GB of VRAM. Note, however, that we’re not talking about GDDR7 here, only GDDR6. As for the memory bus, it’s 128-bit for everyone. Finally, we shouldn’t see any big heatsinks here with the supposed 130W TDP!
