Price cuts for graphics cards continue on Asian and American markets. In China, the RX 6800 is priced 47% below MSRP. In the USA, it’s the RX 6800 XT that stands out, priced 30% below MSRP. These price reductions place the RX 6800/XT dangerously ahead of NVIDIA’s RTX 4060 Ti.

RX 6800/XT: available at very aggressive prices!

As far as the RX 6800 is concerned, you’ll have to turn to the Chinese market to find the card at a rock-bottom price. At JD.com, Yeston’s customized model can be found at 2799 RMB, or around $393 USD. This puts the card 47% below its MSRP (manufacturer’s suggested retail price). As for the RX 6800 XT, the card is now available at $499 USD from Newegg via a promotional code. The card is therefore 30% below its MSRP.

Clearly, these foreign offers are likely to be painful for NVIDIA, and especially for the RTX 4060 Ti. Indeed, the non-XT RX 6800 is already 10% to 20% faster, depending on resolution. As for the XT, its performance is 25% to 35% higher than NVIDIA’s card. What’s more, these models feature 16 GB of VRAM, so they won’t lag behind on the most memory-hungry recent games. And it’s not the RTX 4060 Ti 16GB at $499 USD that’s likely to save the day, given that the card shares the same GPU configuration as the 8GB.

Over Europe, the RX 6800 XT can be found for ~€540 at Amazon via NR Info… Otherwise, prices are in excess of €600. As for the non-XT 6800, it seems to be gradually disappearing from our shelves.

Finally, when we see what the new generations bring, we think it might be better to wait for price reductions on the current generation.
