Overclocking:

A lot of information has been circulated when the Ryzen 7000X3D processors were announced concerning overclocking. The most optimistic spoke of the possibility of overclocking the CCD not having the “3D V-Cache” and the most pessimistic of a complete limitation of overclocking. So what about it and do we have access to manual modifications at the level of the different cores? Let’s get straight to the point, you can go directly to the next page and read the conclusion.

Indeed, AMD has simply reduced the notion of overclocking to the strict minimum, as shown in the two screenshots below. Manual overclocking is not possible and access to voltages is locked.

So, thank you AMD who offers us the possibility to activate the Curve Optimizer and the Precision Boost Overdrive. We let you discover the gains obtained under Cinebench R23 and which materializes by an increase of 2,3%. We didn’t have time to dive into the BIOS to see what we could do on our side but to be honest, the gains are almost non-existent.
