SteelSeries announces a new color for its keyset in PBT. Already available in white and black, here it comes in pink for a really colorful keyboard. In short, the brand announces its Pink PrismCaps!
Pink PrismCaps: “semi-transparent” PBT keys!
With its new keys, the SteelSeries brand offers a complete keyset for 104 keys. As you can see, the focus is clearly on the pink color with a colored upper part. The base of the key, meanwhile, will be transparent to highlight the RGB lighting of keyboards.
Regarding the materials, we find of course PBT, rougher, but also more durable over time.
As for the compatibility, of course, SteelSeries emphasizes the compatibility with its Apex 5.7, TKL and Pro keyboards. However, we find two bottom row non-standard with to be compatible with keyboards… non-standard. On these, we have space bars in 6u and 6.5u with keys :
- Ctrl, Windows, Alt left: 1.5u – 1u – 1.5 and 1.5u – 1u – 1.25u
- Alt, FN, contextual, Right Ctrl: 1.5u – 1u – 1u – 1.5u and 1.25u – 1u – 1.5u
Unfortunately, these keys do not seem to be available yet in ISO-FR layout. Only US, UK and Scandinavian layouts are offered. Finally, as for the price, it will cost 34.99 € on the brand’s website.
