Moore Threads: a serious performance boost!

0

When they were released, the Chinese Moore Threads graphics cards were disappointing, to say the least. Performance was clearly not up to scratch, while API support was limited… And it has to be said, the excessive power consumption made the card uninteresting. However, by working hard on the drivers, the guys behind it all managed to seriously improve performance!

Moore Threads, thanks to the drivers, performance is soaring!

Thanks to the latest driver version released by the manufacturer, as you can see, performance has taken a serious leap forward. As you can see, on a panel of six games (tested by EJ Hardware): Genshin, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, League of Legends, Crossfire, DOTA 2 and Risk of Rain 2, performance has seriously increased. In some titles, performance is even doubled. In others, the gains are more modest, as with Genshin and Crossfire.

However, these performance gains, however significant, put the MTT S80 up against an old GTX 1050. Admittedly, they are beneficial to the card and to users, but China’s Musa architecture is far from rivalling that of AMD, NVIDIA or Intel, particularly in terms of energy efficiency.
