GTA 6 Price: Is FNAC Already Dropping a Bombshell About the Price?

It’s been rumored for a while now, but this time, the price of GTA 6 is starting to look like the explosive topic that will dominate conversations in the coming weeks.

With just a few days to go before pre-orders officially open on June 25, 2026, a leak from FNAC Portugal is already causing a stir among gamers. Several Rockstar Games SKUs have reportedly been listed ahead of schedule, with prices that are a bit hard to believe. The first SKU, named RS1, is reportedly priced at €89.99. Another, RS4, is said to cost €119.99. Finally, a third SKU, RS5, is listed at €199.99, which strongly suggests a Collector’s Edition. In short, credit cards are likely to get a workout, because Rockstar knows full well that even with these outrageous prices, its new game will sell.

For now, it’s best to remain cautious. Rockstar Games has not yet confirmed the official price of GTA 6. However, this leak is not insignificant. We’re not talking about a rumor but rather a listing on the product page of one of Europe’s largest retailers… and it comes just before pre-orders open. This is obviously not definitive proof, but it’s not just a random placeholder lost in a database either. For months, rumors have been circulating that before breaking a sales record, GTA will break the price record.

The game is expected on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, with a release date set for November 19, 2026. For PC gamers, however, it’s still radio silence. No Windows version has been officially announced for launch. As is often the case with Rockstar, we’ll probably have to wait a while. PC builds can therefore stay in the garage for now, even though rumors suggest the PC version will arrive sooner this time than it did for the previous installment. A bit frustrating, but not really surprising.

In terms of content, GTA 6 promises to be a massive production. The action will take place in the fictional state of Leonida, inspired by Florida, with the return of Vice City. The duo of Lucia Caminos and Jason Duval will drive the story in an open world that seems to focus on density, vehicles, crime-driven storytelling, side activities, and social satire. In short, Rockstar is once again crafting a labyrinthine city where every street corner could hide a mission, a heist, a race, or a typically GTA-style absurdity.

The real question, then, is the pricing strategy. If the standard edition of GTA 6 is confirmed at €89.99, Rockstar would be taking things to a whole new level. For several years now, AAA video games have already been trending toward €79.99. Here, we’re talking about an even steeper price tag. So yes, GTA 6 isn’t some small indie project coded between coffee breaks. The budget, the anticipation, the marketing, and the commercial potential are enormous. But at €90, players will also have every right to expect a polished finish, solid performance, and massive content right at launch.

The €119.99 edition could be a Premium version. It might include digital bonuses, online mode content, a few cosmetic items, or a starter pack. Nothing has been confirmed. As for the €199.99 price point, it clearly suggests a Collector’s Edition, likely featuring a physical copy, merchandise, or an exclusive item. Again, take this with a grain of salt. Without an official description, it’s impossible to know whether the bundle will be generous or if we’ll just get three stickers and a box that gathers dust.

Ultimately, this leak about GTA 6 confirms one thing above all else: Rockstar knows its game is eagerly anticipated and that leaks and rumors are working (for free) in its favor. At €89.99, GTA 6 could still sell by the pallet load. It’s almost unfair, but that’s Rockstar for you. However, it’s best not to pre-order blindly. You’ll need to wait for official price confirmation, the exact details of the editions, and, ideally, the first technical reviews. For die-hard fans, buying on launch day will seem like a no-brainer. For everyone else, it’s wiser to wait for a few reviews. At this price, you’re not just buying a game—you’re investing in a major piece of emotional silicon.
