If you’ve read our full review, you know that Noctua is finally taking the plunge into the world of all-in-one water cooling with its NL-LC1 series. This launch has been eagerly anticipated—and closely scrutinized—given that the Austrian brand has built its reputation on high-end, understated (despite its iconic color), and efficient cooling solutions. To mark this launch, we’re bringing you three unboxing videos, each dedicated to one of the products we’ve had the chance to test.
The Noctua NL-LC1 Kits on Video
The idea behind this series is simple: get to the essentials, but do it the Noctua way. No RGB, no flashy displays, no closed software ecosystem. Here, everything is based on a more traditional approach, but one that’s particularly well-crafted. The kits are built on an Asetek base, reworked by Noctua with special attention paid to isolating the pump. In particular, the brand uses a three-layer foam pad, called the NL-PNA1, designed to reduce vibrations and make the operating noise more pleasant to the ear.
All three AIOs also feature the SecuFirm2 mounting system, which remains as simple and effective as ever. It ensures proper contact with Intel and AMD processors, with the option to reposition the cold plate to better target the CPU’s hotspots. When it comes to cooling, Noctua doesn’t cut corners, featuring either the NF-A12x25 G2 or NF-A14x25 G2 depending on the cooler’s size. These are top-tier components, though some may regret the absence of a chromax.black version at launch.
In these unboxing videos, we’ll take a closer look at the box contents, the included accessories, the finish of the radiators, the pump block, the cables, and the differences between the three models. The 240 mm model is aimed at more compact setups, the 360 mm appears to be the most balanced compromise, while the 420 mm is designed for cases capable of accommodating a large heat exchanger. One thing is clear: these kits aren’t in the budget price range, with prices ranging from €219.90 to €279.90. Is that enough to convince you? Read our review to find out what we think.
