We’ve just received a hot new parcel from MSI. Indeed, it’s with great pleasure that we unpack the MSI GeForce RTX 5080 16G The Mandalorian and Grogu Edition OC. This card was launched to coincide with the release of the latest Disney movie, The Mandalorian and Grogu, and is a limited edition, available in Europe in 500 units.

For some time now, MSI has been specializing in special-series graphics cards, built around well-known Geek franchises, both in film and video games. The World of Warcraft version of the RTX 4070 is a case in point.
The program features a collector’s edition card, aimed primarily at fans of the Star Wars universe. Don’t expect any technical evolution from the good old RTX 5080: its GB203 remains strictly identical, with its 10,752 CUDA cores associated with 16 GB of GDDR7. Nor is the Tri Frozr 4 fans a novelty, as it already equips the brand’s RTX 5080 Gaming Trio. This is the basis on which MSI has delivered this new, exclusive model.
We do, however, appreciate the work done on the chassis of this 5080. In addition to the stickers and exclusive colors, the manufacturer has reworked the backplate with different cut-outs, while integrating four interchangeable magnetic logos that attach to the circular opening. MSI has even gone so far as to offer a rather nice GPU support bearing the effigy of Grogu.
