First scores for the RTX 4060 on Geekbench 6

As we get closer to the launch of the RTX 4060 (non-Ti), we’ll be getting more and more clues as to the card’s performance. This is to be expected, since it will be in the hands of testers who will run it through various test software programs, some of whose databases are available online. This is now the case with the first results from Geekbench 6.

RTX 4060: first scores appear on Geekbench 6!

Geekbench 6 RTX 4060In the program, via the GeekBench 6 software database, we find the card’s first scores. The card displays 99419 pts on the Vulkan API, compared with 105630 pts on OpenCL. Of course, these results should be treated with caution, as they will need to be refined with further readings.

According to VideoCardz these initial scores place the card between 17% and 18% ahead of the RTX 3060. This is also a gap that could be observed when switching from the RTX 2060 to the RTX 3060. Against the competition represented by AMD’s RX 7600, NVIDIA’s model scores +4% under Vulkan versus +32% under OpenCL, ouch.

Now, it’s important to bear in mind that GeekBench is not necessarily indicative of in-game performance. It’s a benchmark that measures the card’s raw performance in various scenarios.

The best thing to do is to take all this with a grain of salt, and wait until June 28 for the testers’ official publications.
