Because there is something for every budget, EVGA is launching a new series of power supplies whose prices are contained. Indeed, with the GE Series, the brand offers us blocks charged $99.99 maximum.

GE Series: affordable power supplies!

EVGA GE SeriesWith its power supplies, the brand offers a total of four blocks with powers of 500W, 600W, 700W and 800W. All this little world benefits from an 80+ Gold certification, but not from a modular cable management. Here, each strand will be attached to the power supply, the goal: to make a maximum of economy.

In addition, EVGA does not skimp on the internal where we find a 120 mm fan with semi-passive operation. Under 30% load, it will remain perfectly still, generating no noise.

Concerning the electrical part, each block benefits from a single 12V rail whose amperage will vary according to the power. Once again, capacitors of Japanese origin are at work. In the same vein, we have a DC-to-DC converter while voltage regulation is announced as strict. And as for the protections, we find the OVP, OCP, SCP, UVP, OTP and OPP.

In terms of connectivity, we will have the necessary to assemble a correct configuration. The 800W block features a 24-pin ATX, two EPS12V 4+4 pins. For the graphics part, four PCIe 6+2 pins are present, but no 12VHPWR. Finally, for the peripherals, we have eight SATA, three molex and one floppy. Of course, the lower the power level, the less connectivity is provided.

As for the price, as we said, we are on a small budget. The 500W block is priced at $69.99 against $79.99 for the 600W version. Finally, for the 700W and 800W power supplies, you’ll have to pay $89.99 and $99.99 respectively.
