Iceberg Thermal, not a very popular brand in our neck of the woods, is presenting a truly massive aircooling heatsink at CES (via Twitter). In fact, to cool server processors, the brand is pulling out all the stops with a large fan cooled by 12 heat pipes!

Iceberg Thermal: a large server fan with 12 heat pipes!

As you can see, when it comes to cooling server CPUs, the brand is pulling out all the stops with this huge heatsink. For the moment, it doesn’t have a name, but from the size of its base, you can tell it’s not here to string pearls. No, he isn’t. Given its dimensions, this model is clearly designed to calm the ardor of a large Intel or AMD CPU, such as the latest Threadripper Pro 7000.

The structure is rather basic, comprising a massive stack of aluminum fins split in two. In fact, one wonders whether these are not two heatsinks glued side by side. Last but not least, a total of 12 copper heat pipes run through the unit, meeting at a copper base.

Clearly, this is not a compact model, so forget about 1U/2U racks. In any case, we’re curious to see how it fares on a big CPU !
