Steelseries announces three new mice with its Aerox 5 and 9. Wired and wireless models. Moreover, several configurations are proposed, especially for the side buttons. Enough to adapt to any type of game!
Aerox 5: a wired and wireless version!
Clearly, this version of the mouse is the most basic, especially the wired version. Indeed, we find a model for right-handed users with its nine programmable buttons.
As you can see, the shell is perforated, typical of light mice. Moreover, the wired version weighs 66g against 74g for the wireless… Simply the weight of the battery. However, Steelseries protects against water and dust via an IP-54 certification.
Aerox 9 : up to 18 buttons !
The most original model remains the Aerox 9, which is intended more for MMO players than anything else. Indeed, the brand equips its mouse with 18 programmable buttons, enough to record a large number of macros.
Otherwise, no significant change compared to the other two models with a perforated shell. In addition, the weight increases to 89g, normal with all these buttons.
The rest of the configuration remains identical to the other two models. We then find a TrueMoveAir optical sensor capable of going up to 18000 DPI. The main switches are Golden Micro certified IP54 with a life expectancy of 80 million activations. Finally, the polling rate is 1000 Hz and the latency is 1 ms.
Prices: not cheap..
Finally, the pricing will clearly not be accessible since it will cost 89.99 € for the Aerox 5 wired and 149.99 € for the wireless version. Finally, the Aerox 9 Wireless is displayed at € 159.99. Note that at these prices, the battery has a life of 180 hours.
