A FireCuda Star Wars SSD series from Seagate!

At Seagate, we can lay our eyes on a new series of SSDs. Indeed, the brand offers us its FireCuda Star Wars Edition. Thus, the heatsink of these storage solutions is adorned with a pretty lightsaber in the image of the main characters of the Lucasfilm universe.

FireCuda Star Wars: an SSD with a nice heatsink!

Seagate FireCuda Star WarsWith this series, Seagate offers two models with capacities of 2 TB and 1 TB. In terms of format, we find SSD M.2 2280 with a PCIe 4.0 interface. However, the technical data sheet remains quite meager since we only know that they will work up to 7.3 GB/s.

Otherwise, the rest of the marketing revolves around the heatsink of this model. We learn that it was designed and manufactured by EKWB. The cooling system includes an interchangeable layer plate displaying the lightsaber of your favorite Star Wars character. So you can choose between the Obi-Wan Kenobi, Luke Skywalker or Darth Vader version.

For the lighting, the little trick lies in the aRGB diode positioned under the top plate. This leaves you the choice of the color of the saber… Although fans, we imagine, will choose between blue or red given the sabers’ affiliation.

As far as prices are concerned, you’ll have to count $184.99 for the 1TB model against $289.99 for the 2TB version. In any case, it’s an SSD that we would like to see installed next to a Titan X Star Wars Edition… Although a bit old.

This way to the Seagate datasheet !
