Starfield - 101.4887

Things didn’t go so well with Starfield and Intel graphics cards when the title was launched. In fact, the rookies missed out on the driver during early access, which led to quite a bit of grumbling. In the meantime, they’re still working on the game, with this pilot promising massive performance gains:

  • Starfield (DX12):
    • Up to 117% more performance in 1080p, ultra detail.
    • Up to 149% more performance in 1440p, high detail

With this, performance gains are also announced on :

  • Forza Motorsport (DX12):
    • Up to 8% more performance in 1080p, ultra-high detail.
  • F1 23 (DX12):
    • Up to 12% higher performance in 1440p, ultra-high detail.
    • Up to 136% higher performance in 2160p, ultra-high detail.

With this, we find support for Intel’s latest addition, the Arc A580, which has also gone on sale. Intel also announces support for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III Beta, Total War: Pharaoh and Lords of the Fallen.

The list of fixes stops at just one:

  • Correction of corrupted colors on Minecraft (DX12) on night scenes with ray tracing active.

We end with the list of known issues of this 101.4887, as follows:

  • Intel Arc Graphics Products:
    • Corruptions may appear on Total War: Pharaoh (DX11) after changing resolution on certain displays.
    • Corruptions using Dynamic Resolution Scaling may appear on Starfield.
    • Corrupted textures may be displayed on certain objects and light sources during gameplay on Starfield.
    • Halo Infinite ‘s campaign may lead to crashes on certain configurations.
    • Crashes can also be encountered on Dead by Daylight.
    • Topaz Video AI may encounter errors when using certain models for video enhancement.
  • Intel Iris Xe Max Graphics products:
    • Driver installation may not complete successfully on some notebooks equipped with both Intel Iris Xe and Intel Iris Xe Max. A system restart may prevent this.
  • Intel Arc Control:
    • With some games, Arc Control Studio may incorrectly generate multiple video files.
    • When using an HDMI connection, the “Display” page may incorrectly show DisplayPort in the “Connector” tab.
    • A ” Stream already ended ” pop-up may appear after Capture/Highlights/Broadcast have been activated.
    • Arc Control may not retain global application settings in Overlay mode after a system reboot. To get around this problem, you need to use the application in desktop mode.
