The brand unveils a new 2230 a.k.a. standard SSD, the XPG GAMMIX S55 2230, with the distinctive feature of being very compact. Designed for portable consoles such as the Steam Deck and ROG Ally, for example. Available in 512 GB and 1 TB, it uses the ” PCIe Gen4 x4 ” interface. It offers speeds of up to 5,000 MB/s sequential read and 3,700 MB/s sequential write.
Apart from portable consoles, where else can it be installed?
The XPG GAMMIX S55 is also ideal for laptops and ultrabooks, whether Intel- or AMD-based. It uses a host memory buffer that utilizes PCIe direct-access memory. This allows it to use part of the system’s DRAM instead of having dedicated DRAM.
