The next Intel Battlemage graphics cards on the run?

Two Intel Battlemage GPUs seem to have appeared on the SiSoft Sandra platform in recent hours. These two versions could be the future mid-range of the new generation of Intel GPUs. These should arrive in the second half of this year.

The two Intel Battlemage Xe2-HPG GPUs are equipped with 20 and 24 Xe cores respectively, for a total of 160 and 192 vector engines or 2560/3072 ALUs. Both GPUs boast a total of 8 MB of L2 cache, half the amount featured on the Alchemist Xe-LPG 32 Xe-Core configuration. Both versions are also said to feature 12 GB of memory (on a 192-bit bus interface). Clock speeds are also listed at 1.8 Ghz… Let’s not forget that we’re dealing here with a very early leak, and that frequencies don’t really mean anything at this stage.

The tests of these configurations place the two leaked cards on top of an Arc A750, confirming once again that there are still too many doubts about the real configuration of the chips equipping the leaked cards.

Earlier this year, Intel reported that development of the Battlemage Xe2 GPUs was fully complete and that samples were in the labs for testing. The ball was now in the hands of the software team for the optimization part. The GPU hardware team is now fully focused on Celestial GPU development.
