There’s no denying that the RX 7800 XT (tested here) seems to be a successful card. As we said last time, it’s a model that has generated a certain hype in the USA. Clearly, this is also the case in Europe, more specifically in Germany and at MindFactory. As a reminder, the vendor communicates openly about its sales, in addition to being one of the biggest stores in the country!
RX 7800 XT: top sales of week 36 2023 at MindFactory!
Once again it’s @TechEpiphany who regales us with his compilation of the merchant’s sales figures. In this week 36 2023 (September 4 to 10), AMD’s new card makes Top 1 in sales. In all, no fewer than 650 cards were sold, a very high score. Remember that this model was launched on September 6, so these sales were achieved over a five-day period!
The rest of the top 3 is made up of the RTX 4070, which sold 500 units, followed by the RX 7900 XTX at 390. In the case of the latter, we can imagine that its selling price of €949 is no stranger to such results.
On the other hand, if we look at the 7700 XT, the figures are disappointing, with only 55 models sold. We can only imagine that the little card doesn’t represent a sufficiently convincing performance/price ratio. Clearly, this is a card that will need to come down in price to be convincing, rather like the RX 7900 XT.
This week 36 will therefore have generated €1,331,720 for 2,385 sales on the AMD side, versus €1,284,440 and 1,640 sales on the NVIDIA side. In terms of market share, AMD graphics cards currently represent 59.03% versus 40.59% for NVIDIA. Unfortunately, Intel is just a grain of sand caught between two feus. In fact, the blues only sold 15 cards, representing 0.37% market share, for a total of €2,644. Ouch.
Finally, the three best-selling cards were the :

- MSI RTX 3060 Ventus 2X OC
- XFX RX 6800 XT SpeedSter Merc 319
Once again, while these figures are encouraging, it should be borne in mind that these are just the results from one store in one country in the world. On the other hand, it looks encouraging for AMD’s card.
