On its side, Asus offers us a new graphics card. For its new reference, we go back to the basics: the blower! So, according to the brand, its RTX 3070 Ti Turbo benefits from a redesigned fairing aiming at improving the airflow in confined spaces.
RTX 3070 Ti Turbo: a redesigned fairing!
With its new card, Asus says it has redesigned the fairing so that the fan can capture more air… Although we don’t see any difference with the 2020 models. Still, in systems where there is little space or simply in multi-GPU systems, the slightest millimeter gained allows to reduce temperatures!
The cooling system remains very simple since it is based on a block of copper fins forming a tunnel at the GPU. The fan, here a radial model, will push the air through to cool the card. Finally, the hot air will be expelled from the case, via the PCIe bracket, hence the large openings at its level.
In terms of frequency, this model has a boost to 1770 MHz, the reference frequency. However, via the software, we can activate the OC mode that pushes the GPU to 1800 MHz.
Finally, regarding the connectivity, the card has three DisplayPort 1.4a outputs and an HDMI 2.1. The power supply is located at the back, which will facilitate cabling, and offers two 8-pin PCIe.
For the moment, we have no idea of the price or availability.
This way to the Asus datasheet!
