How to identify your memory kit:
Basic characteristics :
To identify a Corsair kit, there is nothing simpler, two pieces of information to look for. The number of layers on the PCB and the revision of the kit. Let’s see what we have on the label first.
For example, in the case of our copy of the day, this is the information we already know from the label.
- The brand: Corsair
- The model : CMK32GX5B6200C36
- Capacity: 2 x 16 GB
- Frequency: 6200 Mt/s
- Timings: 36-39-39-76
- Voltage: 1 .3 volts
- Revision: 5.43.13
CPU Z:
On CPU Z, we are entitled to other information. The type of chips (SK Hynix) but also the reference of the kit.
We also find the brand of the manufacturer of the kit, here Corsair.
For information, there are chips of different brands (Samsung, Micron, Hynix, …) and with different revisions (B-die, M-die, A-die…).
Asrock timing configurator:
On Asrock timing configurator, we have one last important information which is the brand of PMIC. We have here a Renesas PMIC which unfortunately cannot be unlocked on all motherboards. AM5 boards will for example be limited to 1.435V in the case of a P8911 model like this kit.
The PCB of our memory kit:
As we specified earlier, we are on an 8-layer PCB. This information is visible on the left edge of the PCB.
