Temperature and Power Consumption

Temperature and power consumption

Temperatures measured during gaming sessions were very decent for a laptop, with a rise to over 70° on the CPU and 60° (72° on the hotspot) GPU internally.

Externally, the chassis is surprisingly cool with about 30° on the keyboard keys in games, making long gaming sessions bearable for the hands.

For power consumption in games (Borderlands 3) we find a processor reaching 100W and the GPU 150W on average. In stress test under AIDA64, we are at 108W for the CPU and 147W for the GPU recorded in software and 300W recorded at the plug.

The 280W charger is clearly at the limit to charge the laptop at full load, but we notice that in game sessions of several hours, its use allows the battery to remain at more than 95%.
