Lord of the Fallen: a €560 GPU for 60 FPS in 1080p!

Lord of the Fallen is shaping up to be a new Souls Like, but if it’s going to be a tough game, you’re going to need a big rig to play it. In fact, we’re talking about a €500/600 graphics card to achieve 60 fps in 1080p… Yes, that’s the kind of game it is!

Lord of the Fallen, big configuration required!

Surprisingly, the game doesn’t consume that much video memory. In fact, the game manages to use 8 GB of TechpowerUp ‘s 24 GB RTX 4090 in UHD in Ultra. Still in Ultra, the title will only suck up 5.4 GB in 1080p, compared with 6.1 GB in QHD. With low detail, we’re down to 5.2 GB in UHD.

Nevertheless, just because the game uses little memory doesn’t mean it will run at 60 FPS on an RTX 3050… Hell no! Indeed, without ray tracing, ultra detail in 1080p, reaching 60 fps will only be possible with at least an RX 7800 XT. On the GeForce side, the RTX 3070 Ti manages 57.1 FPS, while the RTX 4070 boasts 67.6 FPS. As you can see, Intel’s offering is completely outdated, with the A770 not even reaching 37.8 FPS and the A750 at 35 FPS at most.

The higher the resolution, the bigger the card you’ll need to reach that symbolic 60 FPS mark. In QHD, you’ll need at least an RX 7900 XT (€850) or an RTX 4070 Ti (~€900). In UHD, not even the RTX 4090 can achieve 60 FPS.

If you activate ray tracing, you’ll need an RTX 3090/RX 7900 XT for 1080p. In QHD, an RX 7900 XTX or RTX 4080 will be needed, while in UHD the 4090 displays 46.2 FPS.

Now you know everything. If you have smaller cards, you’ll have to lower the visual quality of the game to hope to play in decent conditions.
