EVGA would also stop motherboards?

Nothing is going well for the EVGA brand, and that’s something that’s been going on for some time. Back in 2021, we noted that the brand was gradually abandoning the European market. Then, quite recently, we were saddened to learn that the brand was abandoning the graphics card sector altogether. The fault lay in tensions between the two companies.

Sad, of course, but until then we could say that motherboards were the only business left… At least until now. In a post on the coolenjoy forum, Korean overclocker Safedisk (the source of many records), tells us some sad news.

Could EVGA be dropping out of the motherboard segment too?

Of course, all this is to be taken with very, very serious reservations, since EVGA has not yet communicated on the subject.

Nevertheless, in its post, Safedisk indicates that the team responsible for developing the motherboard segment has resigned, which includes KingPin. For the moment, we don’t know whether this is a reshuffle or an outright shutdown of the motherboard sector. Although the resignation of a team of 170 employees leaves little room for doubt.

For the time being, the question also arises as to what will happen to the cards still in circulation. Our TechpowerUp colleagues report that stocks could be recalled for use in the event of an RMA.

Sad news, but let’s wait and see whether the company or KingPin communicates on the subject.
