EKWB unveils a new waterblock from its Pro Line series. It’s designed for AMD’s professional platforms, and more specifically for the brand’s Threadripper and Epyc processors.

Pro Line: a workstation waterblock based on Threadripper and Epyc CPUs!

EKWB Pro Line Threadripper & EpycThis new model features a block straight out of the brand’s professional series. The design features silver-gray tones and a mix of different materials. The upper part is CNC-machined acetal, while the base is electrolytic copper. Finally, stainless steel is used for the mounting arms.

Moreover, given the destination processors, we have a particularly wide copper base. In fact, the microthread network comprises a total of 91 microthreads, enough to cover the entire surface of the CPU.

For connection, we have three G1/4″ threads on top. For mounting on the motherboard, the assembly mechanism is pre-assembled as standard. This avoids any handling errors. In other words, all you have to do is place the block on the CPU and screw it down for a ready-to-run configuration… Provided you’ve connected the block to the watercooling loop, of course.

Now, prices are far from cheap for this type of product. In fact, this model retails for over €300 on the brand’s online store. Yes, it stings, especially compared to Alphacool’s Eisblock XPX Pro 1U, available from €100 and which will fit into a 1U rack to boot.
