Counter Strike 2, easy 300 FPS!

0

There’s no need to introduce the Counter Strike license, since the series is so well known, ultra well known and very well known. However, a new opus was recently released on September 27. And as with any competitive game of this style, having a high framerate isn’t all that complicated. However, TechpowerUp has measured FPS on 40 maps, so how does it work in practice?

Counter Strike 2, this game has so much FPS!

Counter Strike 2 VRAM

First of all, as far as memory consumption is concerned, fortunately the game isn’t very greedy. In fact, in UHD, with very high detail, the title consumes just 7 GB of memory. With recent games, we’re talking about 8 GB in 1080p, which is quite a difference. But, once again, we’re dealing with a competitive game whose aim is to run on as many bikes as possible!

And to get the maximum number of frames/sec, what better way than to watch what’s going on in 1080p. In this resolution, any card can reach 60 FPS, except for the GTX 1650. Otherwise, as early as the RX 6400, you’ll be able to play at 60 FPS in 1920×1080, with maximum detail. On the Intel side, the smaller A750 and A770 achieve 140.7 FPS and 151.7 FPS respectively. Recent AMD cards such as the RX 7600, 7700 XT and 7800 XT achieve 150.1 FPS, 238.4 FPS and 287 FPS! The king, however, remains the RTX 4090 and its 541.3 FPS!

At 3840×2160, performance inevitably slows down, and to reach 60 FPS, you’ll need to aim for at least the Arc A770 and GTX 3060 12 GB. There are also a few quirks, with the RX 7900 XT offering lower performance than the previous-generation RX 6900 XT. As for the 7900 XTX, its performance is on a par with that of the RTX 3090, at around 160 fps. Finally, the RTX 4090, with its 24 GB of VRAM, delivers 237.8 FPS!

In short, Counter Strike 2 promises to be a low-guzzling game that should run on many computers, even those a little dated. That’s quite pleasant, especially when you consider the current gaming trend.
