New processor from AMD, with a non-X and non-G Ryzen 7 5700 to appear on its website. With this new version, the company offers us, vulgarly, an APU without integrated graphics.

Ryzen 7 5700: the CPU appears on AMD’s website!

Ryzen 5 5700

This processor is based on a monolithic Cezanne chip etched in 7 nm. Compared with the 5700G, with which it shares its architecture, it offers a slightly lower base frequency of 3.7 GHz versus 3.8 GHz. However, the boost remains the same at 4.6 GHz, although it has no integrated graphics.

With this, it’s a processor with a TDP of 65W. It comes with a Wraith Stealth radbox as standard. As for cache memory, it features 512 kB of L2 per core and 16 MB of shared L3. Compared with a 5700X, it offers less L3 cache, while its X counterpart boasts double the L3 with 32 MB.

Last but not least, this model doesn’t support PCIe 4.0, so you’ll have to make do with PCIe 3.0. While this doesn’t pose too many problems for a graphics card, it does have an impact on storage, which will be slower.

Last but not least, the launch date posted on AMD’s website is April 4, 2022, which is obviously wrong… At least for the retail market.
