A new series of processor waterblocks from Alphacool: the Core 1 series. These new models come with a new design, new colors and a new mounting mechanism. Apparently, it requires fewer screws and is easier to handle!
Core 1 series: new Alphacool waterblocks!
This new waterblock series features a new, rounded design in a variety of colors. The German brand offers its blocks in white, black and silver. If you’d like RGB lighting, that’s perfectly possible with the Aurora versions. However, they will only be available in black or silver.
To get to the heart of the matter, the dimensions are 72 (W) x 72 (D) x 26.5 (H) mm. The construction combines brass and copper. The upper part is made of brass, while copper is used for the base, which is nickel-plated. On the top, we find the block’s G1/4″ standard inlets/outlets.
Finally, Alphacool announces that it has modified its mounting mechanism to make it simpler to operate. It will require fewer screws and tools, while being simpler to handle. When you see what’s been going on until now, we really appreciate it!
As far as prices are concerned, they clearly sting, as we’re talking about €99.98 for the simple model versus €119.98 for the version with aRGB lighting!
